Wow guys - Thanks. Taking a break from cable repair and read the response. I didn't realize that the board would be such a hit. Thanks for the comments on the band. The recordings we have up use different incarnations of my pedalboard - there's been a lot of evolution over the years. It was a long path that led to where we are now. We started as an acoustic jazz group about 11 years ago and slowly learned to rock out on our instruments.

I promise a soundclip after I work out the bugs.

Any lines on a Reverberator will be greatly appreciated! Let's fill that space!

I finally got my Shiva plugged in for the first time tonight and am really digging it. I'll try and get some pictures, but still am trying to figure out where I'd stick in in the chain...

Where exactly do you stick a glitchy starved fuzz in your chain anyway? It's not in the textbook.

As of tonight I had:

Bass --> POG ---> Shiva --->Bassdrive--->X-Blender [Bass Microsynth-->AF-9]--> Psilocybe-->Barber Launch Pad---> Amp [rack: Tuner--> DBX 160A]---> Speaker.

Pretty standard octave/dirt/filter/modulation order. My gut tells me to put it in the dirt section, since it's a fuzz, but the power starve aspect seems like it's a special case, no?

Your board is definitely nice dgelting, but it's more about the music, at least for me.

The way I see it, a novice or poor user of effects makes you wish they would turn them off. An experienced effects user makes you take notice of their tasteful use and a really good effects users employs them in a way where you don't even notice because it's just part of the tapestry of the music.

What you guys do is very far from anything I'm doing or have done musically, but I really dig it. Nice job.

My board is a mess right now, but it's going through changes. The Paradriver and fx25 are new and are up on the block right now trying to find a way onto the board. The paradriver sounds great, takes 9v, compact, and the powerful eq makes it very versitile; The muffn is big, needs a wall wart, and the Eq is mostly for show... but it has a certain presence, and the breakup of the real tubes is so glassy and nice that it is make the decision though.. In the FX25 vs GFX25, I think the GFX (same and fx25b) is staying: The older fx25 has no volume drop, but with the envelope closed it resonates much stronger in the mids, and for what I'm using it for it's not cutting it- That's what i decided since picking it up a few hours ago anyway. I get some weird resonance in my cottage, so the real test will be at practice on thursday at the drummers studio.

There will be a few other changes later this week, so I'm waiting to clean it back up and mount power strips until I'm sure on what size I need, though I am planning on mounting the pp2 and dc brick tomorrow. Right now I'm only transporting them once a week so the mess is livable, but it will be great when I can show up, unzip the bags and only have to plug in a few power strips/supplies.

im gonna build my own board soon. once my weeping demon and bass big muff get here. a little something to supplement my ibanez pd7, digitech bass synth wah, and digitech chorus. ill be getting a boss ph-3 phaser eventually for $60 or so. im buying a bf-3 and ph-3 for $100, then my guitarist/best friend is buying the flanger off me, since the flanger to me just sounds like a mix between a chorus and a wah, except watered down to hell

fightthepower you have some very sweet stuff.

Dig the Moogs and the filters on the board (Grinder/Green/Prometheus) and especially the DM-2.

I want to see what it looks like when you get your actual board all sorted out.

Have you tried the POG after the x-blender? I guess it depends on whether you want a clean or dirty octave down

On the topic of the shiva, I would just flip it with the bassdrive. I always prefered OD->Fuzz myself tho...

I've never used the Xt, but the M13 is very easy to use and sounds great! No amp modeling, but that's why I bought it.

but instead of downsizing to a mini, I up-sized to a mini.

(i was only really using 2 pedals before - the multicomp and the Korg tuner, but I've added some tone shaping now)
