Big changes coming on my board. Finally putting together a cohesive board instead of individual pedals I love. Hard to let some go, but it will be better in the end...or, y'know, not the end, just the next incarnation of the ever-changing, morphing and adjusting quest for totally unattainable perfection.

I'm looking to replace the Muffn with something smaller and 9vdc- The paradriver didn't do it for me and will probably be sold soon. The Empress is pretty much on there for show right now- It's a great delay but it does way more than I need it to, and I'm really gassing for an mp201 to take care of most of my exp pedal needs as well as potentially kick the ring mod off in favor of a bit crusher (it will stay in the collection either way)- Selling the Empress and using my DM2 while I wait for the new malekko delays to come out would help to fund that. The Gyroscope just came back from being updated to the current s&h version and is being auditioned, though it probably will be on the chopping block as well. I also need to work on powering my pedals more efficiently.. and I could keep going on and on, so Ill stop- Here's the boards-

I thought the same thing :D I linked the 5 moogs together earlier, and sent the carrier out from the ringmod to the audio in on the Freqbox, and the lfo out of the ringmod into various inputs. From voices, to gurgling and stuttering carbed v8 engines, to sub bass... all kinds of crazy noises generated strictly from the moogs patched into each other. Too much fun to be had as I get a grasp on the limits of some of these new pedals. As far as the signal chain... this will take a while lol.

Bass->Pollyanna->OC2->HOG->Muffn->P&C->Empress->BMS->OS->SyleGreen->Gyro->Looper on second board-

Loop1: Freqbox->BassMurf
Loop2:Prometheus->Grinder
Loop3:LPF
Loop4:RingMod->Phaser
Loop5:Polychorus->Superdelay->Out of looper to Multicomp->RC-50->Markbass LMII

The 3 piece I recently got started with a friend already have a couple gigs lined up for this summer, and will probably start taking gigs before then if we keep going at this rate. When I do start playing out, Ill probably make some big changes in the boards to make things more efficient. If I had to do it now, I'd like to downsize the Muffn, and the polychorus to a flanger; I just picked up an Alesis Bittrman and will get an mp201 soon- those will probably replace the Ringmod; and the Gyro and BMS will probably come off. Add a second small looper to the small board, and maybe make the pt pro a pt2, and there would be my gigging board. I'm using everything right now when we jam, but we'll see where I'm at in a few months.



Joeinsprings - Im using the Prometheus as a regular filter. The s&h is cool and all, but I'm not using it in any songs right now and I like the voicing of the filter.


Nad- All I have right now are clips of jamming with this new band.. like our 4th-7th time playing together. I think some of it sounds pretty good, though there's a fair amount of knob twisting, searching for notes etc... Id thought about posting clips before because theyre definitely effect-laden, but a bit rough..

I occasionally hit record when I start making noise, and sometimes that **** comes out pretty damn cool hehe. Let's face it, it's just noise, but hell I dig your page of noisings, and some of this stuff seems to have a cohesive theme to it; be it 'Robot Deathmatch' or 'Underwater Basket-weaving," so who knows I might put up a few things on myspace as well. I'm sure everyong is just clamoring to hear me make a bunch of knob twisting noise:rolleyes:, but I'm going to record a few minutes of just the moogs fed into each other and post it here in a few..:smug:

So I went and made some noise :hiding:with the Moogs plugged into each other in the pictured order. For the first clip, the tone in generated by diming the resonance knob on the Moog LPF- The LPF, Ringmod and Phaser were the only pedals used.

The second clip came out great :D It's just noise while I find my groove and at 3:30 I kick on the Bass Murf. By 5:00 I have a sick breakbeat going and I freq the beat by cutting out frequencies (kick, snare, etc) with the bass murf sliders. At 7:20 there's a breakdown and by 8min it turns into a 303! haha this **** is great.

The even have sweet endings! It probably only sounds cool to me because I had fun making it lol..

*edit* Hehe thanks okTem :cool: I can't believe what happened myself.. someone gave me an FX25, and I bought a bass micro synth. Many months later after finding talkbass and just reading in the technique forums, recordings, etc... I ventured into effects and found out what kind of sounds you could make with a bass guitar. Well that was the end of my savings (not quite.. but pretty much damn haha). I got my first band going recently and am using all the effects, and it's just a lot of fun.. It was all so foreign to me not too long ago, so I'm surprised I even know how to use a lot of it. It's great making the sounds I listened to for so long myself, and with a bass guitar no less. Kick ass. :bassist:
