Turn the bass drive sideways and have the only footswitch you use towards the bottom. That creates much more space and you don't have to sell anything, as well as keeping the sound you like.

Or get a different tubscreamer based pedal, or just a tubescreamer and mod it.

I tried really hard to like to for a long time, but it just sounds really weak. I'm really into all the different filter modes, but the sound just got to me. At first I told myself that I was just believing all the TB hype, but it became more and more clear that I couldn't get the full, gooey sound I wanted out of it.
