A little update for me, just received in the mail this morning as a gift (do we love free stuff??) EBS Chorus

It sound so good on my fretless. Just a little very subtle chorus effects. Just perfect.
If I use it on the battery, do I have to umplug it once I'm done playing or I can just put it off by clicking on it?

a) there haven't been a ton of new boards posted on this thread

b) I just added a pedal to my board

My "Travel" pedalboard with just the necessities. The EMMA Transmorgrifier is new.

Signal is: > Renz Mute > EBS Octabass > EMMA Transmorgrifier > Fulltone Bass-Drive > EBS Valve Drive >
(tuner on independent path out of Renz Mute)

I'm holding off on doing a more in-depth review of the T-Morg until i"ve logged a few more miles with it.

I will say that I had to do a quick mod to ground the pedal properly. It uses plastic sleeves around the 1/4" jacks that don't make contact to the chassis. I had to run a short wire to remedy the RF interference that resulted. I should note that there is a radio tower across the street from my house :rollno: & I had no RF problems at a show that I did with it.

I originally was going with the Demeter, but I wanted something more "squishy" or "effecty". (I use the compression as an effect rather than an always-on transparent application) I auditioned the T-Morg along with the EBS Multicomp & an Analogman BiComp. The EBS was too subtle for my needs. The Analogman was awesome! It had two seperate channels that you could stack. I went with the EMMA because it was more flexible, however.

I like it very much. I actually got it based on your recommendations :) I was looking for a "less funk-esque" style Wah. Like the Old school Power Wah Boost. Toe down is a little too sizzling hot at times, but overall it's a great pedal.

The Boost setting must've been bumped when I moved the pedal to the left a bit to make room on the pedalboard for the incoming pedal. Normally it's around 11 or 12 o'clock.

If you want to tone it down a bit, just open it up and bend the LED up a bit (towards you if you're looking at the bottom of the pedal, so it's easier to bend back later). It ends up being less harsh at the top, and the overall tone shifts a bit to focus more on the mids. The further you bend it up, the less harsh it gets, but don't bend it past 30 degrees - the difference past there becomes negligible, and you risk breaking the connectors for your LED.

I've been thinking about switching my 105Q for the PWO, and this has been one of the things bothering me. I'm assuming that there's no Q control, and bending the LED is how you control that. Would it be possible to put a pot before the LED to vary its intensity and achieve the same affect?

Hmm... possibly. The idea behind bending the LED away is to decrease the intensity and amount of the light reaching the photoresistor in the wah circuit. If you could regulate the LED's brightness via a pot, it could work.

No Power Wah has ever had a Q control before. There are Morley pedals with Q controls (like the Bad Horsie 2), but I haven't seen one with a Q control that was bass friendly.

Anyhow... get back to posting pedalboards! :p
