S/N C002762 purchased new in May of 1980 for $550.00. Probably the only bass I've never regretted selling. Just couldn't warm up to its tone or feel.
Man I love Sabres. Highly underrated instruments I've owned five of them in my life and unfortunately all but one were stolen from me and I miss them all.
Here's my sole survivor, a fretless sunburst hanging out with some much younger cousins...

Just found a 79 sabre at a pawn shop planned on flipping it, cause its a unlined ebony board and the thought of playing it scared me, but I played it at home and really loved it and thought I would give it a try, and boy do i love it played it last night at a worship service and today at church and have had barely any issues with the unlined board just feels natural
Anyways its all origanal in pretty good shape some rashing on the back and dings here and there but its 3 years older then me so I can't feel to bad about it not looking brand new
