Hit me up if you're interested.

Peace,

James

Well, I was hoping this post would be my REAL contribution to this thread, but that oughta be coming soon. Long story short, I sold the Devon J5 that I was trying to trade for a Sabre. But before that, I bought a '79 Sabre! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: Natural w/ black pickguard, like Jmac's. Pictures when I receive it.

I found it on Craigslist, in San Jose, CA. Now, normally I wouldn't spend money via Craigslist unless it was local, but I have some friends in San Jose. They have a little family run bass company that I've done business with a time or two. ;) They agreed to do the transaction for me with the seller and then ship me the bass. So now I'm waiting........waiting.........waiting......

Hi guys.
I'm from Italy.
I'm quiet badly looking for a Music Man Sabre.
Here in Italy they are almost impossible to find so if anyone of you wanted to sell a Music Man Sabre, please let me know.
I like better the 1979/80 model with the Stingray Pickups type and the 3 switches as G&L L-2000.
I obviously like the other model too with the soap bar pickups and the 5 positions pickups switch.
Sorry for my bad english.
Thank you very much.
Depni.

Depni,

Currently there are two red EB era Sabres on ebay. A couple weeks ago there was a preEB or two, so they do pop up.

Hi Caca.
Yes I saw those auctions, but one of those sellers has 0 feedback so you can easily understand that it is not easy to trust an overseas transaction with a 0 feedback eBayer, anyway I mailed the seller and asked him to show me some detailed pics of the bass...
the other auction is for a Black Sabre painted in Red!!!
And the price the seller ask is almost 1500!!
Not a great deal In My Humbled Opinion.
So everybody, if you have Sabres to sell or if you put it on eBay, please PM me.
Thank you.
Depni.

I just purchased one ('78 White Sabre w/ SRPU's and the 3 switches) here on TB. It was a cash plus trade deal. Great bass! I've been looking for PRE EB's for a while and they are expensive. You'll get one, keep searching. Good luck!

not my own, although I did own one similar...

the first one of your three links works, but not the second two.
if they're all the same...the seller has Zero Feedback.
Maybe not a problem, but, might be.

$800 seems kike a fair enough price.
