Power Amp Recommendations

I'm looking for a rack mount power amp. My needs are:

Two channels
600 watts per at 4 ohms each
No more than 2u
Made in USA

I have two cabs that are 600 watts and 4 ohms each. Obviously I wouldn't want to go over 600 but a little less would be ok.

I'm looking at the Carvin HD 3000 but would consider other options.

Thanks!

All tube would be awesomesauce but probably more than I want to spend.

If you ever decide to spring for the tube, look no further than the new Mesa Strategy or Prodigy... but for a solid state, I like both the GK and the Mesa M9... GK overall has more features, but I'm loyal to Mesa and have never had a bad product made by them.

BTW, I admire that you care and want your stuff to be made in the USA, but some English stuff is also good... Ashdown for example. Just avoid that made in China (or other low cost labor markets) crap, and for the most part you're good.

Those are some great amps but I am actually looking for a rackmount power amp.

You find a tube poweramp anywhere near that power level let me know.
You find one half that power that is 2U let me know.

I know it's a bit controversial to make such statements in some circles, but 465W (into 8 ohms) on the 8:88 sounds like a 900W solid state amp... trust me when i tell you, if I turn this thing up, it gets VERY loud..

Crest CA6 — heavy, but they go cheaper these days because they weigh like 45 lbs. Oceans of power and real honest to goodness SLAM.
Each channel is 600 watts at 4 ohms. Can be run at 2 ohms on each channel and can be bridged into 8 and 4 ohms.

They last forever.
