RMX is made in USA, at least the last one I looked at was.

RMX and GX amps are made in China (and always were). PLX are made here in Costa Mesa.

I find power amp designed especially for bass guitars pretty expensive.

Why not simply use power amp such as this one instead? Seem to be powerful enough...

Have a look at Carvin.com. They ship up here to the far North AND pay all the import costs. You just pay more shipping. Their DCM series are really good value for money. My favourite is the DCM1000. I use that one every time I gig. Costs a bit over $325 US.
