Powerful Amp to do 2ohm load, besides tube amps?

Dude...GK 2001 RB... 1080 watts, can power 4 cabinets, down to 2 ohms. Gets dirty, gets deep, gets clean, whatever you want. Must check that one out.

Used Peavey Firebass700 or Max700 = 700 wts @ 2 ohms.
Used Genz-Benz GBE600 = 600 wts @ 4, but can be converted to work @ 2 ohms.

Eden WT550 - 750W @ 2 ohms, great warm organic sound, excellent EQ, and takes pedals well.

The Carvin B1500 would fit nicely - 1900W at 2 ohms. But it's not light, but in the 30#'ish range. And there was one for sale in the GFS section. Just a great amp.

All current solid state EBS amps + some of their discontinued stuff work down to 2 Ohms.
Tube front end in most of them.

+1 on using a PA amp as an alternative.

Lots of good suggestions so far, but I'll throw out the Fender TB1200 (or the Fender 800 Pro, which it replaced) or the Aguilar DB750/751.

Ha ha - yeah the Aguilar DB750 would become my main amp - not the backup!
