POWERFUL COMBO

ok i sold my stack, and now only have $1200 maximum to spend on a combo, i dont want an inexpensive stack, i want a combo.
i am from australia so kep that in mind
this is what im looking at atm-

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ampeg-BA210S...ryZ38078QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

i think its a really good deal, opinions? other recommendations?
it will be used for mainly crowds of 100-200 people in small-medium venues for hardcore/punk music, thanks!

Why not one of the new Ampeg combos? you get 80 more watts, slightly smaller package. You would have to wait a couple more weeks until they are released though. Would a small head and 2x10 be out of the question? Because then you would definetly expand your options. (1200 Aus = ?US)

thanks, but the reason im looking at this ampeg in particular is because they are normally $1000 more, so i would not usually be able to afford one such as that.
$1200aud=$1040usd
a head and a 210 would be ok, but im really wanting an ampeg!! haha
thanks

All the ampeg combos have felt a little on the wimpy side to me volumewise. If you are after a tubey combo that can belt out some volume, you should check out a Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout. I don't know what they run in your market, but I'll say right now that the walkabout scout will bury any of the ampeg combos and sound better while doing it.

ok so a few ideas have crossed my mind today
i found an ampeg B1-RE for $790 aus, iwtch is really good
any thoughts? and a a cab i could put with it thats around $600

Eh I have the B2re and it is not very powerful at all but a lot more juice then the B1RE

I would take a look at the Carvin BR6 2x10 looks promising, but don't know about being in Aus

thanks BMC

ok these are my options ATM

Ampeg BA20SP

Genze Benz NEOX112T

Ampeg B1 RE head and a small/cheap cab

possibly line 6 300 watt combo

thier my main options currently, advice as to what i should choose or not choose any of these would be great, thanks again!
from the land down underr:bassist:

What about the Genz Benz Shuttle series? I have the 3.0-10T (and the 10T extension cab) and it kicks arse! The 6.0 is even more brutal.

And they are way light for their output...light enough to buy U.S. and ship to the land down under...
