When working a lifeguard tower on our beach every morning, after you've opened the tower, one of the first things you do is set up your cones. The cones create an area around the tower that provides access for our vehicles to the tower and the water. So a fun rookie prank that we do is once the guard has open his tower and hand tossed his orange cones into the sand we wait until he's at the cone that is farthest away from his tower then we call him up on the phone. The dude has to hussle through soft sand climb in his tower and answer his phone. Then we just go 10-22 (disregard). Then he resumes putting his cones out and we do it again. Hilarious. Because you're watching this guy from either his flanking tower or from our zero tower on the pier and he doesn't know who it is. I think the most I've gotten a guy was about 4 times. It's been a long standing tradition of rookie initiation. LOL.
