Pre CBS Fender Photo Thread

Gorgeous, I love that blue definitely one of 3 of my favorite colors, shell pink, sea foam green, sonic blue.
Beautiful.

Thanks for sharing. Is that the only pic you have of it?
I'd definitely live to see some more.

How do you post a link to a video I have saved in my photobucket account?
Or on my computer?

I got someone to play the bass and wanted to share a link to the short few seconds he was messing with it.
Not a great video but at least you can hear how it sounds.

Link worked for me. Sounded like roundwound strings. That bass is begging for some flatwounds. That's just me.

No I hear ya, I wish I knew what the hell the difference was because I'd surely like to know why I'm buying these flatwounds. I have already decided as soon as I can get to the music shop I'm getting some.

They've been recommended by several people, so I guess if there's that much of a difference I'll know soon enough.

I'll have to check back on my other thread and see what the brand was people were saying to go with.
Feel free to add any input or ideas on which to go with.

I could have sworn that your bass had flats on it from your original pics. But yes, +1 on the flats. I use extra light D'Addarrio Chromes and Thomastik Infeld Jazz flats.

The strings were changed due to the guy at guitar center swearing that I needed a lighter gauge set on it or the neck was gonna bow.
Since I have no real clue what flats or rounds are I honestly can't tell you.
I kinda think I get what it is in where the flats look like a regular string where the wrapps on each string are flat and therefore really smooth, as opposed to the current rounds which are wrapped with a more rounded edge an knobby surface yo & down the string.

So if that's the case yes the original strings were flats.
