Lately have been having people question why I take it out to play so much... Well, because I bought it to play it!
That thing is extremely clean.
Thanks for posting it.
Even better thanks for posting so many pics.

I do have more!
I LOVE the bass!!! It gets the most play as of lately.
It has what I believe to be the OHSC but its jammed in my closet at the moment...

What's the value of this bass?
Unfortunately at the expense of my hopes and dreams it has been determined to have been refined in 1963 as soon as it was purchased as an original 3t sunburst.
So while yes it is the most rare color and yes it is a very old vintage refin.
It is not the great 40k bass it appears to be.
It was just the lighting from the grass....but it's kind of a cool idea, kinda like green paisley or something!
great beard. very ELO ish
That picture was tken in about 1978.

Alright somehow things have slowed to a crawl, if not a complete stop.
I know there MUST be a few more good Fenders out there hiding amongst you.
Don't be shy, or feel embarrassed I mean c'mon I posted a pink one people.
If anyone has something to be a bit reluctant about its the guy admitting his bass is pink.
Speaking of which I think I'll get me a T-shirt made that reads "Real men play pink basses"
Okay probably not.
Now can we please get some more pics up.
I'm like a vintage Fender junkie now all of a sudden and desperately in need of my fix I mean pics. : )
I'm also curious how some of you guys came across these beautiful pieces.
Is there anyone here that sold the farm & kids to fund their dream bass? Or are these all just passed down or carried over from years passed?
Pretty sure everyone knows my story and how I came to have the pink bass, what's yours?
mellowinman said:I've read quite a bit from you, and I have to say, I don't know what your deal is. You have possession of a bass guitar that people would literally kill for. Being pink isn't an issue. I would NEVER seek a pink bass, but that thing is phenomenal. And based on what I've read, you have another collector's item, and you don't really play that much?
Man.
It's going to be hard to get all the pre-CBS Fenders onto this thread, simply because I doubt a very large percentage of TalkBass posters have them, and those that do might not log in every day, and see this thread.
I hope they do, though, because I'm really enjoying this.
My 64 P - looks like it's had a much rougher life than the others.
