I was using a Sans Amp but switch to V-TONE BASS DRIVER DI BDI21 by BEHRINGER after this blind test by a TBer which opened my eyes to a $30 pedal
that was so close to the Sans Amp that a lot of us guessed wrong on which was which.

I voted for the Radial Bassbone, which is what I use. Though, I have to admit I haven't researched or tried any of the others.

Aguilar Tone Hammer or VT Bass.

Aguilar Tone Hammer AND VT Bass! Just got the TH the other day and tried out this combo last night. With VT first in chain = KILLER!

One more vote for the Tone Hammer. I also love the Tri-Logic BPII (zero noise, no coloring), but it lacks a DI out.

wow! seems like tons of people like the Tone Hammer! i should look into it...still shopping for a great preamp to warm up and add warmth and grit growl to my GK 1001RBII...thinking of Tone Hammer, PBDDI or Paradriver...need some muscle to add to my already radical sounding 1001RBII...

Get something without too much coloring if you already like your setup.

I just realized I like the sound of my bass more than the preamp's color that I have been using(Leeds) and now I'm looking into something like the Aguilar to put some "hair" and grind on the tone my bass already has.

Just some food for thought.
