Precision body with Jazz neck

You can get some obscenely good deals on used ones, check out GC's online used section. People could say many things about Peavey, but they have some sick necks...very comfy for those who favor thinner ones.

About 6 months ago I got one off CL for $125. Emailed Peavey with the serial number and they responded within an hour that it was a '91 sunburst with maple neck, which indeed it was. I popped the neck off and the neck and pocket were stamped with the date. Really great player, fantastic slinky neck, highly underrated and the going prices reflect that.

Well now, I certainly can't fault your decision to pick up an Aerodyne.

I too, love the sound of the P bass, but have never been crazy about the thicker necks. In the past I have bought a Squier P Basses and changed out the neck to a MIM jazz neck. I usually would put in a Seymour Duncan pu and have a decent playing bass. I finally decided to buy a Fender Aerodyne a couple months ago. WOW!
What a great playing bass! I put some flats on it and it is soo smooth to play! I finally have a fairly lightweight bass with the ability to get about any type of sound I want without all the fuss of multiple knows and switches . I don't have money to burn but, for me, it was certainly worth the money!

Are you an employee of Warmoth or something @sheltjo6? You've bumped quite a lot of threads - some very old - to pile on praise of warmoth gear in a short amount of time. It seems very fishy.

You don't want the 1st model, they have a P width topnut, 1 3/4". The 2nd and 3rd models have a Jazz size neck with a 1 1/2" topnut.
