Additionally, J neck is thinner, less heavy and easier to play IMO.I prefer the J neck, and I can make my J sound like a P (I use flats), but can't make my P sound like a J.
has to be black, in which case it wouldn't make a difference whether it was a P or a J. i've owned white basses: tone was deplorable, they were way too heavy, and they had serious neck dive issues, none of which i have found to be true with black basses. and as a bonus: black works better with tort, flats, and metal.
it's obvious that StrangerDanger isn't taking the thread seriously: ergo his joke.![]()
I agree. It would be a form of stage camo allowing us to play heard, yet unseen, which would thrill the rest of the band. Chicks never noticed anyway. Maybe a simulated finish incorporating bits of mike stand, drum hardware, grill cloth, cables, etc. Couple that with matching clothes and we could become virtually invisible! We could even develope gray torte! All basses should be grey and why not 50 shades of it.

Precision bass. Scooped sound isn't my thing, nor is the Jaco sound my thing. That leaves a neck sound that is almost like, but not quite a Precision sound.always see threads popping up about which of the two basses is better, so today I've decided to settle the age-old debate for good (as best I can.)
This is the absolute best answer, right here.this is a beat down topic here, with no real winner
I had a SD Classic Stack in my old CPS. It was actually less noisy than the SD Vintage P pickup I had in that bass.PJ bass with a hum-canceling bridge pickup![]()
Close race between black and white, but we're getting there.Just dropping in to see what the final, end-all, be-all decision is so I know which of my basses to burn in the woodplie.
Black,If you had to choose either a black or a white bass, which would be. I want to settle this for once and for all.
