All basses should be grey and why not 50 shades of it.If you had to choose either a black or a white bass, which would be. I want to settle this for once and for all.

..I agree...the 2 VOLUMES are annoying when playing live....I need to make a dedicated VOLUME for both..I started with a P and although I like the sound of the J (I do own one) I cannot get on with having 2 volume pots to futz around with when playing live.
I'm sure that if I had played a J for 35 years before getting a P I would favour the J.
P-bass with flats. The end!
.....or just the beginning?![]()

This is it for me. I've been a Pbass player for years. I have an 04 with flats and a 72 with Rotos. Then this past year I stumbled into a 75 Jazz and man does that thing work.I prefer the J neck, and I can make my J sound like a P (I use flats), but can't make my P sound like a J.

has to be black, in which case it wouldn't make a difference whether it was a P or a J. i've owned white basses: tone was deplorable, they were way too heavy, and they had serious neck dive issues, none of which i have found to be true with black basses. and as a bonus: black works better with tort, flats, and metal. If you had to choose either a black or a white bass, which would be.
How about a "Prazzjision"?
I'd like the inverse of Duck Dunn's famous hybrid.
A Jazz bass body with a vintage spec Precison neck could rock my world.

Whats up with all of your pictures with a copyright? I can't imagine anyone wanting to use them or steal them...so what if they do!Or, the California Precision Special Bass I had for a while.
P body
P/J pickups
J neck
Rickenbacker knobs (most important, to get the best tone)

All of the players with the most noticeable tones played jazz basses. The not so special ones, used P basses.
