Precision people, how would you rate this one, looks-wise?

I happen to prefer the automotive Fender colors, but that is a quintessential sunburst P-bass.
It might be cool to see one day someone do a pickguard that continues the burst. But sunburst and tort are like a Reese's cup.

Oh yeah, I get that. I really like white P's as well. I'm a sucker for the old-school sunburst/tort combo though. Although I might find this one's tort a tad too brown, what do you think?
Has anyone ever made a car in 2/3 TSB and tort with a rosewood dash?

It's just that I might buy it sometime around the 20th of May. And even though I will be able to try it first, I'm still nervous about it...
I have paranoid thoughts -like what if my eyes are wrong and it's just a ridiculous clowburst? With a dull pickguard? I know, I'm supposed to be the sole judge of that but it's messing with my mind. Too much time spent watching beautiful basses on TB

I suspect the burst might come out a bit more yellow in 'real life'.

A lot of the fireglo Rickenbackers look horrible in certain pictures, hence the “clownglo”. I think it will look really nice in person.
Sunbursts often don't photograph perfectly. But most Fender sunbursts look like...Fender sunbursts.
I would not be surprised if there's a 70s AMC in something resembling a burst.
Edit- I think I've seen a CJ in something burst-ey.
Pics don’t really do the finishes on these AV basses justice. The nitro really pops and has more dimension, as do the tort pickguards. They also scratch very easily if you look at them the wrong way. I’m betting you’ll be drooling once you see it in the flesh.
I prefer a maple fret board myself, but that is a very nice P bass.
I'm in love with it. SB, covers and those massive tuning machines really float my boat. Jamerson vibe.
Nothing wrong with it. Old-school vibe with the covers and burst, tort is nice, if you're looking for something retro to that era I think this is your baby.
It's a classic Precision Bass look! I love it, personally. The black pickguard looks great; if you replaced it with tort or red pearl, that would also look groovy.
I am a P bass guy, but can't deal with those imitation clay dots. Dark dots, dark rooms, and ageing eyes is a recipe for disaster, lol.
That’s an awesome looking bass. Straight old school cool. Should have the AVRI pickups as well which are some of the best Pups Fender makes. You could play that bass for the rest of your playing days and do great in any musical situation. That’s prob the bass most people see in their head when they think of a bass guitar. Pleases my eyes just fine. Prob because I have it’s American Standard cousin. Burst and Tort. Black looks sweet too if you wanna change it up.
