Preferred 112 for a Tone Hammer 500?

How light is light? That's the biggest question.
There are some super 112's weighing in at 35 to 40 lbs. But there are some really good ones too at around the 25 to 30 lb. mark at various price points. Some cabs at 30 lb or lighter, in order of decreasing listed weight, include the Epifani UL2-112 (if you can still find one), TC Electronic RS112, MarkBass NYC 121, EA Whizzy 12, Aguilar SL112 and Traynor TC 112. I'm sure I've missed some.
If you can't manage something under 30 lbs, first you have my sympathies, but second, it's pretty easy to find someone who is willing to be your roadie.
Cheers.

Here's my Flite 112 with a Faital 12PR300 neo driver I installed today.

Amazing cab... Plenty of treble for a 12" one way. Now breaking it in!

Check the scale: it weighs only 18 lb 4 oz.

I'm using Aggie SL112's with mine and enjoying the sound. Also, I was using it with 2 Glockenklang space deluxe 112's, but they were a lil too clean for my taste. The Aggie DB's sound great with it too. I A/B the SL's & DB's side by side. The DB's had that low end I like, but the SL's were pretty close and the light weight won the battle for them.

What lightweight 112 would you guys use with a Tone Hammer 500? I'm needing to gig with a fairly light rig these days as I'm having shoulder surgery this month and will probably never go back to my DB 750 and 8x10. I know the 112 will have it's limitations but I can always run "thru the house" when needed; which I do anyway most of the time.

IMO, assuming you dug the tone of your 8 x 10, the closest thing to that sort of vibe in a single 112 that will be loud enough for a moderate sized/volume gig, and a good match with the TH500 is the Baer ML112. That cab is relatively lightweight, uses a higher quality/higher spec driver than most production cabs, and with the particular mid driver and crossover used, has a top end that brings to mind a very good mutli-10 cab.

If you are willing to go with two 112's, the little Aguilar neo SL's are quite nice.
