Well I'm studying IT so I'm kind of in front of computers all day. At least I get time to practice and don't spend my Internet time complaining about everything.
If I don't like a YouTube video I'm watching, I just stop watching the video. Not bitch about how stupid annoying or offensive it is. The same principles can apply here. I'm just asking questions on here because I'm still new to this whole thread thing and don't know much. Just saying
I certainly play the bass, not the headstock but believe it or not it's right there (at the top of the neck). It says Fender.

OK first off, my lack of musical knowledge is just fine by me. At least I'm playing the stuff that I like and not just complaining on the Internet over something some random stranger posted. I was just asking an innocent question that I didn't think I'd ever been posted on this form before. Maybe I was wrong. Sorry.I'm protecting myself.For some reason I allow myself to keep getting sucked into these stupid "My Squier can beat up your Sadowsky" and "We don't need no stinkin' book lernin" threads. I wish TB either had an 'ignore thread' button or a separate sub forum called 'Things we have discussed to death' where we could put all these threads.
I've said more than once that if you are going to post a topic that has been posted 100 times before, try to bring something new to the discussion. "Is an MIA worth the extra money?" is just a tired, worn-out, contentious time waster and shame on me for falling for it again. I don't know any other profession where people brag about how they buy cheap tools for their trade; much like some people brag about their lack of musical knowledge as if it's some kind of benefit to be ignorant.
I appreciate your ability to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I think he just likes attention.
Here is the deal Cole, right now I'm playing a $3000.00 bass that I've had for 15 years and a $500.00 bass that I've had for a month and I'm loving playing both. Cost doesn't matter, does the more expansive bass have better this and that, well sure, I would hope so for the extra money, but they are both fun to play and sound good and that's what counts. Jim

It could be done- but the cost to do it would exceed what it is worth. With time and the right tools a master craftsman could mod my Squier P to play and sound like your Fodera or Smith. (and in a band setting noone would hear the difference).
The real question is how much of the Squier would be left?
The other thing to keep in mind is what we widely consider the greatest bassists of all time played on crappily set up basses with crazy high action and other problems- Jaco. Entwistle. and of course Jamerson- I believe his strings were like 3/8 of an inch off the fretboard!
