preshow rituals

Not exactly a ritual, but I do make hand and finger warm up exercises, like I do before band rehearsal too.
Pre-game dump, dude.
All joking aside, some light stretches, relax, talk to the other folks in the bar, and most importantly, bathroom break five minutes before we go on.
Oddly enough, I do play into the bass player stereotype of being the zen centre of the band's universe...usually requires reassuring the lead guitarist, drummer, and lead singer that everything will be fine.

My only ritual is tuning my bass. I make the rest up based on the occasion.
I usually bring a small amp and warm up back stage. Sometimes the guitarist and I will run through a song or two together and sometimes the drummer and singer join in.
I usually get a good stiff drink like whisky neat when setting up. It keeps me hands from shakin 
I usually drink a large cup of green tea, iced if it is summer, and no this not a "wink wink" green tea. it does help me to keep a good level of energy and focus and still can drink a couple of beers no problem.
I smoke a cigarette and finish off my beer.
Actually it's just the smoke, the beers are for post-show.

Light supper before
Played the basses that I'm playing that day/night I use before hand earlier that day.
Go through my physical checklist of items needed
If I have time a small dark roast coffee hanging out before hand

Before a big show I would listen to King Crimson's Discipline before leaving for load-in to get my energy up.
oh wow...i ALWAYS listen to some king crimson and cult of luna prior to a show.
