LOL tell me about it, but that's a can of worms and I'm not going to share with you guys for privacy reasons. I sometimes whish I was a little cog in the big machine, on the other hand being your own boss can have benefits too.

Yep, and mom and pop corporations don't have tons of written policy to protect you in times of major life events like major corporations. I'm all for mom and pops to thrive, but I've never had a mom and pop match your earnings 6% in an IRA or pay your entire cable/internet/home phone bill with the top cable package. Sure, I have to pay extra for Ultra internet and the 4 TV boxes we have, but it was like I was given a $350 a month raise just for showing up the first day because we had all that anyway. Gotta deal with customers, but not all of the people who cancel or complain about problems are jerks, and what business stays in business if they can't deal with customers? And the crew I work with are very supportive and positive and patient. It's written into their corporate rules that they have to be, but the end result is that they definitely expect you to work hard and know a lot of stuff, but it's pretty pleasant working conditions and not about ball-busting. So I don't mind if it got forced on them by centuries of litigation...they all seem pretty cool to me.

Yep, that's a wild one. The gain can rip a hole in your cones on a 1/4 dial! I modded mine so the internal trim pot was moved to a front facing mini pot. It worked really well and opened up the pedal's versatility a lot.

Nice one! How would you compare this to a wooly mammoth/mastotron? I have a mammoth clone that I really like. And although I really like the el grande (judging from the demos), I thought it's too similar to the mammoth..

You need pedals no matter what stage of life you're at. The older you get, the wiser your use of them becomes.
I'm at the stage where I've had enough surgery to understand the value of disposable undergarments, but no longer understand why I need a bit crusher or a ring modulator.

M85 is a gem. It was my first pedal and it closes my signal chain.

If you like silicon, Black Arts Toneworks Pharaoh is a fuzz with silicon or germanium diodes, as well as an option for no diodes, which is extremely sensitive to the dynamics of your playing. Turns out it sounds extra mean followed by the M85.

I tried the M85 and I love me some good low-medium RAT distortion. Always felt like I was fighting with it. What settings do you like to use?

Conversely, I had a Rat Tail an whip back that was great but I could never fully get the "stoner-sludge" out of it to polite-en it up a bit. Been looking for something in the middle for a while now.
