Prices. This is crazy.

Fender pricing is all over the place. A friend (Retail Dealer) just offered me the Road Worn
50's P or 60's J, either one for $850+tax. Those basses seem to be going for over $1200 at MF. Go figure. Different prices for different dealers? What's going on here?

More like economic favoritism. Sickening. Anyhoo- should I break and get a 60's J Relimex
at that price? Opinions? I'll have to eat my words about not buying stuff.
That Roadworn J gives my CS 64 a serious run for the (less than half as much) money.
Besides- I could use a backup (decoy) Currently gassing bigtime

no
the road worn basses seem so dumb to me
i dont understand why anyone would pay so much money for an instument with chipped paint

My guitarist saw a Gibson Les Paul for 599.00 at GC right after christmas. Went back there yesterday to look around at their "Presidents Day Sale" and saw it still hanging on the wall (for 899.00!) When he asked a salesman about it he replied, we had to raise the price, so we can knock down 10% for our sale ***? :crying:
