I understand that the economy has gone to pot. The Canadian dollar has dropped. Fuel costs have risen. Yada-Yada-Yada.

I'm at my local music store the other night talking to a buddy who works there. He says "you wanna see something really sick", and punches in a few keys on the computer and spins the monitor around. My eyes just about pop out of their sockets. Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass $1375 before taxes. Holy F-Sharp!!! I purchased one of these in Octorber 2008, 5 months ago for $849 befor taxes. WOW $526 increase in price.

My brothers & sisters, these are tough times indeed.

I would build a Warmoth replica of Geddy's trans Red FMT Jazz before I would pay $1300 for the sig model. At least I could have a choice in color.

I paid $699 for mine new, the year that they came out. And found out a little later that I overpaid by at least $50.
