Gia, they are the minority in any population. Moreover, you're essentially saying that "amazing" and "intelligent" people are primarily found in private education. I would like to know what methods of sampling or intelligence testing you've used to determine that. Don't even bother quoting "standardised" school scores of any kind, either. There is only ever a slight correlation between those and intelligence. Similarly, if you were to measure things like emotional, moral and social intelligences, due to the nature of state schooling, you are bound to find an average higher score when compared to private schools.
I don't think that any person, whether state or private refutes the fact that the average private school will get you into a better tertiary institution than an average state school. However, the average state school will teach you far more about the real world than the average private school. The ideal is finding either a really good quality state school (sometimes impossible depending upon your area) or a lower private school in order to get the best of both.
Don't even both refuting the above paragraph with anecdotal, "Well, my state school got me into..." Or, "My private school taught me..." That is generalising your own experiences to other people. Any responses of the like will be rebutted with the definition of a layperson - someone who uses their own experience to generalise to others. Don't make me call you ignorant.
