We played our first live show together Saturday night at a wedding for a few of our local fan friends! Setup was a lot easier than it used to be thanks to some new pa equipment and the fact we hadn’t done it in a while made it fun, lol! Our drummer even brought is homemade stage riser, he loves being able to see a little bit, lol I brought the HB and my Rumble 500c, we use subs and I ran through the PA, combo was for stage volume. We had a great time, the crowd had a blast (a couple of kegs helped!) and at the end of our time we were asked to play another hour and even got a pretty fat tip to keep playing (a first for us, lol). A few notes: This was our first show with our new guitar player/singer and the energy was very different for us, really upbeat and fun with no bad vibes and the crowd that knew us really noticed it too, so we are excited for the future! The groom told us to put out a tip bucket, he wanted us to thank us for being able to play for him. Sorry, no food pics... but there was the normal spread of fruit and veggie trays, cheeses, etc... so nothing special to document there, lol It was a private event so I didn’t really get crowd pics, but there were probably 75-100 guests mingling inside and out.
I'm thinking because of Covid19 nobody showed up? Where is everybody? Looking for food and chick pictures? But.. nice looking bass I must say, thanks for the gig report.
Probably should have mentioned this!!! It was a casual country affair and they didn’t want anyone dressing up. This was a couple hours after the wedding after everyone had changed lol
Good gig report, love my Rumble 500 as well. We have a cajon player instead of drums and the riser is a great addition. Gets the rhythm player up at eye level with everyone, bet your drummer will want to keep using it. Thanks for sharing.
