Pro Multiwave Bass Distortion

So how great is the EQ? because as far as I can tell, that and the presets are the only thing that justify spending $100 more for the pro bmwd as opposed to the standard bmwd. I can totally live without the presets and I have an eq pedal but I don't want to buy the standard pedal only to find out that the pro sounds leagues away. :hmm:

I would note that the EQ settings get saved with the preset as does the wet level/dry level.

If you only want this pedal for one sound at a time, then the presets are not needed and an external EQ is fine. But, if you want more than 2 sounds to call up in a flash, I would go pro.

The pro also allows morphing, which is cool and fun.

well Im probly going to run this through my effects loop so the wet/dry will always be put all the way to wet also I have other distortion/fuzz pedals that I love and I would be using this one primarily in conjunction with the sapbef for purely synth madness but thanks a lot for the input i think im going to put in an order for the sapbef and the samwd tonight. can't wait till they come!!!

I'm wondering how useful the Hot Hand might be with the MWBD Pro. Lots of the far-out demos on youtube seem to focus on the envelope filter pedal, or the envelope filter pedal in conjunction with the MWBD. I think at one point Will Cady even says that it's not as useful for just the distortion pedal.

How useful could it be? I'm thinking you could use it to swap between two different presets. Like a wacky distortion synth sound and a totally clean sound. Or maybe the difference between the presets can be one of volume or EQ. I'm just wondering how much cool stuff might one do with a Hot Hand controller and JUST the mutliwave bass distortion pro.

Thoughts? Experiences?

We made a huge mistake on the MWDP. The only thing that the HH can control is the drive. It is OK, but not as good as it could have been. On the SB2 the HH morphs between the 2 presets. Much more logical and fun.

So, to be bruttally honest, the HH and the MWD Pro is OK, but not so fun as the HH and the BEF. Others may have more to say, but that it he official word from the company.

Can't remember if I asked you or Jesse, but I was told that if morphing with the HH was fun/useful, you'd maybe make a patch for the MWBDP incorporating this. Is that coming along? :)

I think we are going to see how well it works on the SB2 and then make a decision. Jesse is really busy right now, so I think this is quite far off. Sorry about that!
