That's alot like mine! Mine has a black headstock and block inlays too. Super jealous of the stacked knobs thoughI'm a Rickenbacker guy, and the Jaguar is really the only Fender bass body style that gets me excited. The MIA Jaguars are nice. I have a VM Jaguar (34" scale). Looking at Fender's website, I don't think they make this model anymore.
It has features the MIA doesn't have: a matching headstock and stacked knobs.
If they made an MIA in the right color I'd probably go for one, though.

Dude that makes so much sense, someone else filled me in on how relatively new they are, and if Fender hasn't really nailed down the Jaguars "Identity" yet then people are gonna sway towards the tried and true Ps and Js for sure.

My god that is beautiful!!!
Have a cobalt blue MIJ that I love. It's a jazz bass. Flip a switch so the single coils act as one and you get sort of a P-sound. Flip another switch and you've got active boom and growl. It takes a lot to figure it out, but that just made me practice more. I think that's one reason why Pino played one with the Who, to get as many Entwhistle sounds as he could from one bass. Havent played the new MIA, but I have plenty of P/Js and only two J styles so I'm happy. Played the Squire with the P/j and 34 scale and it was great. Ain't no flies on a Jag

- I am a hobbyist making stone picks that I sell but mostly give away. They made me do this anyways.
I have a 2010 MIJ 2nd Generation Deluxe in Sunburst that I bought new and it is my main performance bass. It came with a white PG which I have not seen on many others. Had to shield it but after that it was quiet. It is a really versatile bass with the added dimension of 3 interacting tone controls: the master tone and roll-on/off bass/treble boosts. Omn the MIJ model, all 3 work in active mode. I don't think the MIA model has that feature. No issues with the bass after 4 years.
I have learned to use it's boosts to get the type of tone that I need for most of the music I play. The growl is fantastic and even in passive mode the tone and growl are there. Mine has 2 single coil pups but that has not made any difference to me. I get a nice, rich slap tone and gritty mid whenever I need. I can choose which pups I want to engage and put them in parallel or series with a flick of rockers switches or simply turn the bass off. A nice feature when I switch to another bass.
The only con I have about the Jag is that the lower horn is not as deep as the Jazz but I so rarely need to go above the 14th fret that it is not an issue for me.
The fit and finish is better than most basses I have seen and every bit as good as any other MIA fender. People look down on the MIJ guitars but there are many who will sing the praises of an MIJ Precision or Jazz and especially the MIJ Strats.
Sustain is excellent and the tonal range is beyond any other bass I have ever played. I would buy another identical if mine disappeared without hesitation.

Wow that is quite a nice Jag! And cleary you love it!!! Congrats on that beauty sir. I don't think I've even seen one with two Js before. I had been eyeballing the Squier VM Jaguar V for some time, but in the end I went for a Squier Deluxe Dimension V, also because I already have a Yamaha passive PJ bass. But, the Jaguar is extremely affordable, gets great reviews all around, looks very nice and really doesn't need modding right away. Maybe, some day....
