Problem Solving Thread - Bass & Gear Related

I Didn't see anything like this on the first few pages so i thought it would be a good idea to at least try to see how successful this is... It's been done on many other forums ive seen and is pretty usefull so here you are. :p

Basically If you have any general questions or queries to do with your bass, bass luthiery, equipment, basically anything you need help with that doesn't really need a new thread to be opened up, Then post it here! :D

This should generally help people who have small questions and run the risk of their thread being eaten by the enormity of posts every minute on different thread, and being pushed out of view.

So if anyone has any questions or needs help, Fire away! :p I'm sure there are plenty of people on here who have been in this business for many a moon and could help some of the less fortunate of us in terms of bass knowledge :)

Give it a chance at least! :p

Good idea! I love it!

I have a question for ya guys. I have the chance to get a new bass for my grades this summer. I play in a funk/jazz band. Would a 5 string, or fretless be a better idea to keep the band held? MY current fear is in my profile, and sig.

Thanks ^^

Im guessing this might be slow to start, but once people get posting Im hoping this could be a good, more "real-time" source of info than something such as the FAQ. :)

Edit: Maybe not then... :( LOL

IMHO, the Geddy will do all the funkin' you need.
Jazz too, but, again IMHO, the fretless would be way more useful for jazz than the fiver.

Now, there's nothing stopping you getting a five string fretless......;)
