Problem with focusrite control

Hi, Focusrite doesn’t answer me for my problem and I have to record soon.
I bought à scarlett 2i2 3rd lately, the sound works but when I open Focusrite control there is no mixer (see pictures). And when I plug in my bass and play there is nothing coming out.

I tried to uninstall but it’s the same thing. I I have Windows 10.

wow, what a disappointment. i'm not familiar with that exact interface, but i'm going to guess that your lack of sound is a function of the way your computer and the interface driver(s) work (or don't work) together.

maybe someone with specific knowledge of the piece and your OS will chime in with a fix or at least a checklist to get you going.

I don't think this product has a "mixer". You need Logic, Cubase, Ableton or a similar software.

Go to control panel>hardware and sound>sound>focusrite. Make sure you select Focusrite as the default driver and make sure you select apply. You will be able to plug your bass in and hear it through the headphone output. You will need to connect external speakers to the focusrite if you want to hear it without headphones.

The Focusrite Mix Control software should display a Mixer like interface, with ASIO setup options, Monitor and routing options. It is not a DAW, but it should present a Mixer interface that will correspond the the number of inputs on your interface (2 in the case of the 2i2), plus master faders.

As to why the OP is not getting this view, I don't know. Does your Windows 10 system recognize that the 2i2 is plugged in and powered up ?

I just went through all this with a older Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 gen1 interface. But I never had an issue with having Mix Control show up in my Windows 10.

Maybe try to uninstall everything and reinstall the software and drivers. Remember to install the software and drivers first before you plug in a power up the 2i2 interface.

Yes I uninstalled the software and the driver. And I Windows 10 recognize the 2i2 for the audio of my computer. Strange

Make sure you don't set the Windows default audio to the interface. It may exclusively grab it and not let other SW use it.

Also, If the interface is working with Windows audio, then a workaround might be to install ASIO4ALL
ASIO4ALL - Universal ASIO Driver For WDM Audio
There are actually several interface manufacturers that just specify to use ASIO4ALL instead of writing their own.

What DAW are you using? Some DAWs can use WASAPI and don't need ASIO on windows. WASAPI is low latency.
