problem wresting my thumb...

I've got a Lakland 55-01 coming in tomorrow and might just make one of these here clear thumrests so that I'm not pushing on the pickup. Now that I think about it, I think I'll make an extra long one that will span from pickup to pickup so that I have somewhere to rest my thumb when I want to play between the pups. Stellar!

Yup! I had never thought about making my own thumbrest out of plexiglass so that it's invisiblish. I have this bass coming in by Fed Ex tomorrow:

You know, I might just put one in between the pups so that the top of the rest is flush with the outer edge of the pickups and another one extending from the neck side of the neck pup to the edge of the neck. I should have all my bases (:rollno:) covered then.

Sounds like a plan to me. I'm in the midst of planning out a Stambaugh and even though it has three pickups, I'm considering having a ramp made anyway.
