per the OP: "professionally burnt on purpose" = the specimen offered doesn't do anything for me. OTOH, i've seen some 'burnt' EB examples that i thought looked pretty good, and some were extraordinary (IMO).

I wonder how much training a "professional" needs before attempting such a service? Do they charge much? They did get the headstock as well, so points for that, but this looks like a total fail to me (but maybe that's the idea?). Definitely looks best being gigged in a very dark club.
(FYI - bass is listed for $315, down from $350).

This bass sounds badass.neck is straight as an arrow..plays and sounds amazing!! Active,just recently set up, and yes..it looks bunt up..was professionally burnt on purpose to make it look as metal as it sounds!! Comes With hardshell case.Will consider trades.

Honestly, I find this more appealing than relicing. At least this doesn't try to make it look like the instrument has been played for 50 years straight.
I'd not pay for something like this though. If I want my bass burnt, I'd want to be the guy with the torch
