Proof that P is better than J?

Is it just me or are there way more used Jazz basses than Precision basses for sale? Look at GC and Craigslist.
Why is this? Does this mean P basses are more popular or better?
Personally I own both.

Update
I was trying to stir up a conversation about the used market. Don't see the value of the condemning comments. I really don't give a dam what you trolling bass nerd types have to say. Please stay in your closets picking your exotic world class bass guitars and leave us working class Fender players alone.

Years ago, Precisions far outnumbered Jazz basses.

These days, there are way more J's on the walls of local stores. I'm guessing that the trends have changed, and what you're seeing on Craigslist is reflective of that.

I say that without bias, as I'm much more of a P-bass guy, personally.

There both the standard.
Trends change, it always swings back and forth.
When I grew up it was P-Bass. After the mid-80's it was J-Bass.
In the last 5 years it's P-Bass again.
Simple own both, and enjoy.
