Looks to me like Tom is right. I can't see the difference between system III and Envirotex lite. The EL appears just to be epoxy. Mikey?

I've never used Mirror Coat but I'm sure it's very similar to EL as are several other 2-part epoxies of the same ilk that I've seen but never tried.

BTW.....I cannot recall having a problem with anyone at TalkBass until today. So, bassmanjla, save your keystrokes, I won't be entertaining any further comment.

Wear some gloves when you use acetone( I know you probably would anyway). A friend who repaired golf clubs had nerve damage to his hands from using it to clean up the shafts. Also sucks all the oil out of your hands(just like the board)

I have a semi-related question. What about something like glass? Would it be possible to install a thin sheet of glass over the fingerboard? I've seen it (Or something similar involving glass) done to electric guitars, so I was curious as to how it would work/if it would work on bass.
