I'm sure more options will come in the months to follow.
They never made maple boards an option on their S2 guitar line, which I think was a mistake.

That being said, everyone go buy one! Then we can have more options! HahaI think a lot of the options that may or may not materialize down the road - are based on the success and sales of the initial production runs. If they are somewhere between very successful and wildly popular - I am sure there will be more options coming - if not so much success, then he won't invest in modifications. It wouldn't make much sense at that point.

I'm pretty sure I saw PRS post on their FB that they'd be in the ballpark of $800I've been a fan of PRS guitars for many years, several of my guitarists over the years played some nice ones, but as a bass player I never felt the need/want to drop that much $$ for a guitar that will spend much of it's life on a stand...and the basses PRS has had out over the years never really "did it for me" tonally, they were visually stunning though.
Now, that Kingfisher may be something I'd very much like to put my hands on, I really dug the tone, and it looks pretty sweet, I'm interested to see what these will sell for once they hit the stores.

Kudos to Paul, he has a couple of REAL winners here and I am sure that 5-strings are right around the corner.

Awesome! This was up at Sweetwater and then taken down, probably waiting on photos for the bases. But you can see the prices - scroll down a little:

Passive, Hipshot tuners and bridge, string through option and 1.591" at the nut on both, Kestral 22 frets with white plastic binding, ala J-Bass, Kingfisher two full ocataves, no binding.

Agreed. I have two SEs that I use in my studio.I have the SE semi hollow electric guitar and SE Angelus acoustic also. Compared to my lead guitarists' fleet of "real" PRS's, the SE's are well worth their price. High quality instruments IMHO.
Have you seen their Grainger line of basses?Nice to see PRS coming out with basses!!!
But...
What shame about the looks of these.
Nothing of the PRS look left apart from the least appealing bit... the head.( IMHO of course!)
I REALLY like the look of PRS guitars and was hoping to see more of this on the basses.
