Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers - Chinese Rocks. Originally a Ramones song.


Other way around. It was a co-write between Dee Dee and Richard Hell(first HB bassist), Thunders changed some lyrics, but the Heartbreakers’ version came out in 1977(L.A.M.F.), Ramones on End of the Century in 1980.

Ah-ha! I was right!
(I only knew the Heartbreakers version, but when I mentioned that tune on another thread recently someone said "that's a cover of a Ramones tune!" and I was completely confused.)
