Purchasing "used" Strings...Why?

Bass strings can get pretty spendy, I imagine there are a lot of folks who would love to buy new strings to try all the different flavors but sometimes buying used is the smarter way to go about it.

On that note, don't forget about weneedstrings.com
They send used strings to countries where people can't even get new ones.

Not a fan of touching strings that others have rubbed all over with their filthy boogered-up fingers. My own filthy boogered-up fingers are bad enough.

Naw .. not a concern for me ... a quick wipe down with alcohol and I dont even give it a thought ... there are more potentially dangerous things we come into contact with everyday ... and we are not a bit hesitant to handle them .. JMHO

Ya, Link Removed is great. I wish more people would do that instead of selling them, although I kind of understand it when you buy a set of TI's or Pyramids and end up not liking them. But for a set of $20 strings, for all the trouble you go through to sell them, might as well donate them because you're barely going to get a few dollars anyway.
