Purple Basses!

Here I am with Dan's bass and Dan is playing my bass.

Awesome thread! I've had my eye on this one for awhile:

I'm already five basses past my so-called "last bass," and I have three P-basses, so I'm afraid it ain't gonna happen. Not today anyway. ;)

About ten years ago, while I was in a demanding job and completely out of music, I played a metallic purple American Deluxe Strat at a shop in Philly. Pearloid guard no less, so you know it looked bitchin'. It might be the best feeling guitar I've ever played, and pains me to this day that I didn't just buy it.

That tears it! I'm gonna do a custom T(or one of Doug Christensen's creations) in ReRanch Crown Royal purple metallic, matching headstock over maple! You can blame your wicked purple selves for that! Just when I was getting some control over my GAS. Fuzzbass, that paintjob is spectacular but far beyond my ham-fisted abilities, I salute you.
