Is that a Fender Japan import? It's beautiful. I love Jaguars (guitars and basses) and I think they should all be offered in surfish colors like that. That matching headstock and those inlays...nom nom nom

Is that a Fender Japan import? It's beautiful. I love Jaguars (guitars and basses) and I think they should all be offered in surfish colors like that. That matching headstock and those inlays...nom nom nom

Funny, this is just about exactly what I'm aiming to do once I get my Jaguar. I've been split on whether to go green or purple (or brown as a dark horse choice), but purple has been pulling away from green. Figured it'd pair nicely with a cream pick guard - nice to see that it does actually look great together!
Now I have to decide whether I want to do a metal flake with candy purple paint job, or do a non-metallic purple. Also kicking around the idea of solid purple or purple burst. Decisions, decisions. I'm thinking I'll probably do metal flake/candy purple, but still undecided on burst.
The above example is the first time I've liked the matching head stock!

Al's green 4003 is what initially made me want to do green flake, but I think purple works better with the Jaguar for some reason (J.Mascis?). Really wish I could afford to buy a whole bunch and paint all my ideas.
