Finally finished the rebuild. Took LOADS I pics of everything under the hood etc. and I'll drop them all on my website soon. For now, this is how it looks...

Very happy with it. I was a tads OTT with the tidiness and cable wrapping etc. though!

When you are done gigging with it that thing should go in a museum. So our children's children can bask in its glory.

Ha!

1st gig last night. Performed flawlessly and sounded great.

There was one minor set back... When we unpacked and set up I couldn't get any sound through my B channel - Ended up that I have forgot to velcro the Octamizer down on the lower tier and it had moved, and pulled away from the output jack! Fail.

:)

OOOOo!!! Vertical TAFMs! Is that how they're made now?

First and foremost. That DI looks awesome! I thought the tone out of the Sansamp is great! A lot of people don't like them though. Looks ****ing awesome though!

Second. Yes, Brian is making them that way. He does limited edition ones, and customs stuff too. I am probably going to pull the decal/sticker off of mine and etch my box though. I think it will look way better that way.

Any suggestions as to the etch?

Just finished putting the pics form the rebuild up on my blog (I took loads), showing my serious OCD for keeping things tidy.

Sweet! So much know-how and information in your blog, thank you very much for publishing all of it. Your project sounds great too, really like every tune I've checked out.

That is amazing. I love those cable coils. I might have to get some for my excess power cables on my PT-1.

Thanks dude. Very kind of you!

Yeah, I stumbled over the idea after going to my folks for dinner and seeing they had used large ones to tidy the cables behind the TV. This company are in the UK (so shipping overseas may cost a bit) but they are cheap and these are what I used...

The really tiny ones on the power leads I haven't found in a store anywhere (though sure they are out there), but I think GigRig have started supplying them with Distributors/Isolators. I would expect they will start selling them separately soon as well (I'll ask Dan when I speak to him next).

How is that Behringer going? I've been secretly GASing for the bass overdrive, but I can't just decide if I should get it. I received 50 bucks as a gift, so I thought it might be funny to spend it on that! (Also, it would give me some content to show you guys on a board!)

I can't speak for the Behringer Tube Overdrive, but I had the Bass Chorus and it sounded a lot like a Boss Chorus. The Bass Synth sounds like the Boss SYB-3. The rumor is they're all cheap clones of Boss pedals, so I can't imagine it being much better/worse than a Boss OBD-3.
