I gotta post my board one more time:

I've added a lot this past week. BDPG today. I put my wah at the very end of the chain too. It sweeps everything now, it's sounds great there. I had it first in the chain and it sounded nasty with my OD's and distortions/fuzz. It wouldn't really sweep any of them. At the end, it acts really good with everything. Really happy with the OC2, tremorslo and the dark driving. I'm just about all done. Just have to add a chorus eventually. I'm thinking tech 21 boost chorus. Yeah buddy.
Well ... hmm ... no.
But close enough that it would work well for many gigs. Maybe add a dirt pedal and a DI.
Awesome board! it has really came along!
Fwiw I think I would have a hard time using my ditto where you have it. Have you considered trading spots with the tremolo, for easier access? It's a really fun pedal that should, to me atleast, be easily accesible. its sensitive as it is right in front of me, but tucked away in the back looks like keeping timed loopswould be a chore. My 2cents.
Hey thanks jazz! I have been trying to get my board to where I won't need anything for a while yet. I actually put the ditto where it's at so I can add effects to the loop when I use it. If I had it in the middle or wherever it would only pick up what's in front of it when I record a loop. Quite honestly I really don't use as much as I thought I would and never live. I still have a hard time timing the loops right to where they connect at the beginning and ends. I haven't used it much. I've though about putting up for sale but I am hanging on to it for a while still because I know one of these days I'll start using it more especially for practice. Hopefully. I know if I ever do decide to sell it I shouldn't have any issues getting rid of it, everyone seems to want one. Thanks for the insight though.
You can still put it at the end of the chain, but location wise, put it closer to your feet. It just takes some cable management (and sometimes slightly longer patch cables). I'm sure that's what he meant. This way it's just harder for you to foot dance and time your loops.
My experience exactly, need the Ditto to be very easy to access, for starting the loop but also just as much for the double-tap to stop a loop at the right time. I can't be doing the crane position waiting for the end of a phrase to come around.
Haha crane position. What's the double tap? I still don't know how to use it that well. I think I'll go check out YouTube.

My experience with the ditto (or any looper) is that you have to be able to anchor your heel in front of the board/pedal in order to get the timing really tight. Especially true for the double tap stop - I usually just tap it on the four and then the one of the next measure, works if the tempo isn't super slow.
Sorry... to be more clear, you tap it once to begin recording, tap it again to stop recording and immediately begin playback. You can single tap again to overdub on top of the original loop and single tap again to stop the overdub.
If you want to keep the loop but just stop it from playing (so you can change sections in the song), you have to double tap it. The tricky part with this is that if you're using it for a song you want to have it stop on beat. So I was saying that I typically just place the first tap on the four of my last measure and then second tap on the one (or actually just ahead of it so you release the tap on the one) so that it stops on beat. If I don't do it in time, I find I mess the whole thing up and sounds terrible live. If you double tap and hold it erases the loop altogether.
If you just use it at home for practice or composition (creating a backtrack to solo over for instance), it's really not as critical. Regardless of how many taps you need to use for any of the above applications, I find it's much easier if you anchor your heel. Floating crane kicks just won't nail the time well enough... at least not for me. Good luck, Greg!
I've been going for "and - 1" hitting the "and" of 4 and on 1. But sometimes the first note of the top of the loop plays out just a bit and gets choked- not very cool. Also at slower tempos it can just add a very short new layer - D'OH!!My experience with the ditto (or any looper) is that you have to be able to anchor your heel in front of the board/pedal in order to get the timing really tight. It's a cool thing and while dead simple, is by no means easy to use.
