PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

Latest rendition! Took the blowebox off because the only way I could fit it on my board was to pack it as tight as I could but it was causing some issues...

How is the Orange preamp? Am I right in thinking they're not made by orange?

That is made by the incredible JohnK. It is amazing. It sounds just like you think it sounds. It can get all high gain massive. It can give you a super nice low gain drive. I personally have it at a lower gain setting, it is awesome. It is almost on all the time for me.

You can hear a sample from the man himself here:

Man unchain, that board is SICK. Lovin it. Very well thought out and put together. With nothing but goodness all over it. Where is your Manta?? And what is the board made of? Homemade?
Thanks dude! Board is definitely an SKB. I dig it, just wish it was angled, thinking I'll eventually just make something larger for my main board and keep the SKB for touring/longer journeys as I usually play at our two local DIY venues and I don't worry about them getting hurt too much. The SKB is tough as nails though for sure.

Hm... even a blind could see that it's a SKB... :smug:
But I agree with the rest - pretty much a very nice board. Why not give your M9 a chance? I thought that adding an expression pedal multiplies the fun this thing can bring. However, things that have no use make no sense.
I did have an expression pedal connected and it definitely is fun (though the Pitch Glide sounds terrible compared to my Whammy and I only like one Wah), but...I guess I'm just a sucker for analog/simple pedals.

I'm just scared of presets.

If I hock the M9, I need to put my Polytune, my OC-2 and a delay back on my board and maybe squeeze my Ring Mod back on, if I could fit it, but I can do all that by selling the M9 for sure. I know that it's way more versatile, but I'd rather have fewer effects that I use in interesting ways. To me, that always sounds more personal/unique, ya feel?

Current version of the PT-2. This will keep me going while I wait for some new arrivals. Then everyone migrates to the big new custom board.

Great board Rick! I dig the Tech 21 pedals. I wish I wouldve experimented with them more when I first started down the rabbit hole. Ive only had the BDDI and VT. I wouldve liked to have tried the DLA and the chorus for sure. That chorus always looked perfect to me. Very bright and pronounced and had a lot of options.
