Really happy with my board: the Zooms have added A LOT of versatility with many effects that I would want but would be hard-pressed to give up the real estate. With my new TRS switchers it also makes use of real estate as it makes my expression pedal split and my dual footswitch split duties. The BSY-600 Bass Synth REALLY is 2 different animals and with having the ability to switch it on the fly it really makes it a synth beast. No GAS for a long time now and there is nothing I could think of that I need at this point by a long shot. Awaiting the BeatBuddy and may possibly upgrade the RC-2 to a RC-3 for added looping time,loops and ability to upload to a PC/MAC. I am now up to 20 pedals (once the BeatBuddy gets gets here) and 7 types of controllers for them. My rule is that it all has to fit in this case and this has truly tested my Tetris skills and I feel that it finally cannot fit anymore! (I use careful placement,pancake style cables, pancake TRS cables, 2 TRS switchers to make 2 controllers have dual functions and overall it is VERY self-contained and very easy to troubleshoot the very rare occasion anything happens.) My next things I want to do is get some pedals etched in a few different ways.....

If I end up scoring this Trace Elliot rack pre, I'll be offloading my MXR M80 from the board...which means room for more boxes!

Been considering a delay pedal recently. I'm looking for something that's different from the herd. The SolidgoldFX Electroman sounds really neat especially with the feedback switch but I'm not sure I can justify forking out $200+ for one just yet. Any other "unique" delays out there that are relatively budget-friendly?

Here's my wee gigging board. This is the first time I've put together a pedalboard in years - largely because I got tired of putting together pedalboards with boutique gear, which ended up being too large, too heavy, and too expensive for many of the gigs I've been playing for the past several years. I've never much cared for multi-effects, but upon discovering the Source Audio stuff (due to my recent re-engagement with TB) I considered them a good compromise between sound quality and convenience. While they're not completely blowing my skirt up in terms of pure tone and available levels of insanity, they're really impressive considering how cheap they are and how much they pack into such a tiny footprint.

If you're looking for a simple and inexpensive delay, check out the joyo Dseed. Very simple yet very functional. Has a great delay time range too. The hardwire DL8 is a great delay and could probably be found for under $100 used. Many types of delays, like almost 10 I think. You could also probably find a user digitech DL4 which is by and far more advanced than both I named above. You probably won't need any other delays for a while. Beside it's rather large footprint, it's awesome all round. I've seem them used for $150 here and on eBay.

Greg, your AD4096 is on its way to me right now! Should have it before the weekend, I can't wait. Even if I don't end up keeping it, I just had to try it out.

Thinking about keeping the M9 now, was playing with it last night and got some amazingly good sounds, the delays on it (especially the Lo-Fi Delay) really do sound great. And I'm all about the Step Tremolo effect, lots of cool choppy potential. I got mine with the JHV3 mods already done to it, so I'm not sure how it sounds compared to the stock one, but I'm curious to try them side-by-side, I know a guitarist I jam with down here definitely has a stock one I can probably borrow.

That said, I may need a bigger board soon...my SKB's mountable area is 27" x 15", but I can't fit anything underneath as it's flat, so that seriously robs me off some room. Contemplating maybe a PT-3, which would give me about the same size, but lots more room underneath for cables, power supplies, etc. Probably won't be for a while though, as I'd have to grab a power supply as well. We'll see.

That was how I was with the 4096. I HAD to try it. And I did. I really dug it, but it just wasnt what I was looking for. got rid of it rather easily. Ended up getting another pedal and a neck for my P, I was happy.

Get a Pro. You'll thank me later :) I will post an updated pic of my board next week when I get the Rusty Box onboard.

Yep, just gotta see what it's about, but I doubt I'll keep that expensive of a delay on my board for long.

My only worry about getting a Pro is that I'll probably always have room for just one more, and that makes my wallet shake with fright, haha!

You gotta let me know what you think of the RB, I've almost traded for one a couple times now, curious to try it.

Thanks for the delay recs, dudes. Unfortunately, I'm abandoning my search for a delay in favour of a reverb (again!). I played with my mate's Hall of Fame last night and I was floored at how good it sounded as well as how usable the effect was. I'm not one to create cool riffs or chords on the fly but the HoF allowed me to create some amazing soundscapes with relative ease.

I'm now tossing up between the SA Dimension Reverb and the TC Hall of Fame. The SA is about $40 more expensive than the HoF so I'm just wondering if the SA is worth the extra coin. I loved the HoF and I'll be happy with one, especially with the smaller footprint, but its hard to come by any SA items around my parts to try out.

I will for sure stain. I built my board off the dimensions of a pro. It's worked really well for me. IMO, with what you're working with now, you may as well. That way you could either lay out your board with 12 or 13 pedals and it'll be super clean and laid out. Or you could clutter the hell out of it like I did haha. Either way, you know you got plenty of room without going quite overboard. I know I feel about there. But not quite :D

Me? I would most def go with the SA Dimension. Hands down. Its just a far superior pedal and it will help you get to where you want to be a lot easier that the HoF would IMO. If youre looking to create some bomb a** soundscapes and take your reverb to another level, the SA is the way to go. Plus its an SB2 pedal, you cant go wrong.

lol Stain. You're probably right man, but I often forget that I'm moving and starting school this year, so it might be a while before I can get a bigger board going, so I'll probably just focus on getting as much goodness on my SKB as possible. When the time comes, I probably will end up going for something PT-Pro sized.

I've been using a B3 for such a long time, but after having discovered Source Audio, I'm in the feeling of getting all Source Audio with a MIDI setup !
Next are PEQ, HUB and maybe an OFD
