Thanks dude. Early days but yes, I've tried it although at the volumes I need to push the 66 I'll start getting complaints (I live in an Edinburgh tenement with neighbours all around). When the band all get back from our summer break I'll crank it up in rehearsal.

It makes gigging heaps easier.. at least rather than bringing along the Taurus 3 pedals. I really like the set up. Unfortunately my 12 step just started playing up on me only recently and I have purchased another one in a heart beat. As it truly is a great compromise on the Taurus.

If you can permanently set it up in a pedal board or something you will be on cloud 9. As the only issue I had with it originally is that you need to plug a few wires in to get it happening and when you are trying to set up or pack down it can be a little tedious. But that is easily solved. I highly recommend it.

And yet another change. Always like that when I'm between projects... not so much as GAS as a simple and irrepressible desire to change stuff around.

Finally found the guts to get a new MXR M87 bass comp. Was eyeballing the locals to get one used for the last few months, but no luck. So here I am, a little poorer, but with a stupid smile of innocent satisfaction on my face. Gotta find a stable project fast before I end up a pedal-rich homeless bassplayer.

Notes:
  • Fuzz is homemade by a fiend of mine. It has an octave up switch, but I don't use it. Most of the time, when it's on, it is stacked with the OC-2 and gives a very dirty, loud fuzz, full of low-end. (which I mostly use for slow heavy sounding stuff. I play in a power trio, so I need to fill up some space from time to time.)
  • Wah just arrived, love to use it with tons of shimmering reverb, for soundscaping, intro's, bridge, parts, ... .
  • VT is always on. ALWAYS. It IS my tone. Back problems (due to sports related injuries) have forced me to go for a light weight (16kg) solid state combo. (the markbass cmd 151, which I love.) So needed a way to get the tube sound I love so much. The VT Delivers, I love it. 90% of the time I use one setting, which has a very tuby slightly overdriven sound to it. Another setting (19% of the time) is very clean setting, that is used for just one of my bands songs. I also have a third setting, that is super overdriven, loud, ... , I never use it. (I've got the fuzz for that).
Very happy with this board. But I know myself, in a few weeks time, I'll have something I want to change. Or I feel the need to downsize, or ... .

So since your VT Deluxe knobs are all at 0 in the picture, what's your setting for the "very tubey, slightly overdriven sound"?
