I will let you know how it sounds, sir! I've got high hopes for that thing...

Yes, please!! Keep us posted about that CAB M. I'm really tempted to get one myself and a good review from a fellow bass player will make the decision easier. ;)

Quick update: Didn't get to use the Cab M at Saturday night's gig. I don't want to run it through my rig with the cab sim on, or thru the P.A. with the cab sim off. My preamp has enough outputs, I just didn't have the necessary cords/adapters. I will be rectifying that tomorrow and will have actual info for those interested this weekend...

new board.jpg

Had an empty flat board sitting around that I threw together. I've been using Multi's for maybe the past year or so as I don't play out anymore but I missed having a board with individual pedals. So by selling some stuff and using what I already had, I threw together a board consisting of some of my favorite devices that I've owned previously. The MXR Preamp for a great straight forward natural clean tone. The Cat Tail for a more bass friendly RAT distortion (liked the RAT clone on my old Zoom so I decided to give this a whirl). The Corona Chorus. My favorite Chorus that I've previously owned. Loaded it up with the Duff McKagan toneprint. The Classic TU-3 Tuner and I wanted a decent inexpensive active DI that fit my budget so the Radial Pro 48 it was. I prefer active DI's for that extra clarity and gain. In a perfect world I would have put on a Type 85 but I couldn't afford it this time around with what i was seeing on the used market.

Wiring wise this is probably the closest I could get to a somewhat professional looking job without sending this out for someone else to do.

Thank you for the compliment! The Geiger Counter is amazing on bass and will offer any type of nasty destruction you could need. I've had it for about 9 years now. Has bigger caps to allow more bass response.

Chrome for roundwounds
Bronze for flats
Glass for guitar

IMHO!

Homer is back - praise jeebus!!

I have just ordered today EHX Bass Mono Synth. Can you say a few words about it? Thanks!

I really like it. It tracks pretty well. When you get the sensitivity dialed in right it's pretty solid and the sensitivity needs to be adjusted per synth sound. The synth sounds are great as well. Definitely a lot of pedal for the price.
