where can one learn more about these dip switches?

MEGALITH order — Mountainking Electronics in the manual you can find at the bottom of that page.

I played around a bit with mine and right now I got only the 4th on.

There should be 4 internal dip switches. The first switch is engaged as the stock setting.

From the manual:

1. Engages a clipping diode. Increases distortion and compression. Precedes the tone control section. Effects the negative going part of the waveform. NOTE: Stock DIP switch setting when in the ON position.
2. Engages a positive going clipping diode which compresses the distortion even more than DIP switch 1 and effects the frequency content.
3. Boosts low end and signal strength going into the clipping diode section.Very interactive with DIP 1 and DIP 2.
4. Boosts the mid range within the tone stack.

New Fuzzrocious Cat Tail, Catalinbread Giygas Fuzz, DOD Meatbox, MXR tap tempo for the DD20 and a Line 6 Helix Stomp.


The Cat Tail rules. Super easy to dial in on bass. Retains low end incredibly well. I probably didn't need to add that clean blend but it's there now! The Giygas is incredible versatile. And loud! The volume control (and EQ) is very sensitive. It can pull off a convincing Muff style scooped fuzz, though I don't really use it for that. Having a mid control and a clean blend is so useful in a fuzz. Oh, and it also has trim pot inside to adjust for guitar or bass. The Meatbox is insane. I'm not totally sold on it yet, though I haven't gotten to play it out a proper cabinet AND I'm on a constant octave quest so this is somewhat to be expected. The HX handles amp/cab modeling for playing guitar and bass at home. There was a pretty steep learning curve setting this up given that I have no previous experience with home recording/digital interfacery but now that its running I'm super impressed with a lot of aspects of it. The amps and cabs sound incredible. It's also pretty rad to be able to try approximations of pedals I've never been able to get my hands on.

Even with all the updates I'm still wanting to try out a Smoothie and Lil Guy but that might have to wait a bit.

@old_skool does the HX not have phaser, Chorus, reverb, tremolo? Wondering why you have those as separate pedals.

@vivaknoxvegas, the HX does have all of those. Most of the modulation I’ve owned for some time.

I’m still figuring out how I want to utilize the Stomp. Right now it’s primary function is for amp modeling for playing guitar and bass at home. I also use it for a couple always-on features like compression (would love to see others compression settings. I’ve found them to be only ok) and a noise gate.

I’m not playing live anywhere so I haven’t had much of a need to assign presets to the foot switches, and admittedly I’m using a fraction of what the HX can do. I like having individual pedals and tweaking them on the fly.

The HX allows for a lot of experimentation and affords me the opportunity to utilize effects that might not otherwise make their way into my board, like a filter or whammy. I probably would buy the phase 90 now but I have the room for it and already own it so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Just picked up a the Flint, which subsequently kicked two pedals off my board. I was pretty reluctant to replace the trem I had because on paper it ticked the boxes but I fell out of love with how it sounded. The Flint sounds SO good. I'm thrilled. Also put the Sub-Blaster back on. Good god. I didn't realize I missed it. I get a wild hair every now and then and think I want a different octaver. The Blaster isn't polyphonic and it doesn't sound like an OC-whatver. But what it does do is add a beautiful organic sounding hugeness to your sound. I'm pretty thrilled at the moment. Sadly, I realized the TRex Quint was the source of the worst noise in my setup, so it's out until I either replace it or find a solution to incorporating it with everything else.

Thankfully, this setup sounds rad. Bluebeard in the FFXLoop is the best fuzz sound I've ever gotten.

Oh yeah and a fuzz channel on my pralines multi filter...

The spot where the Dark Driving is was originally home to a fuzz pedal. Wasn't using it a ton, so thats been my rotating drive spot. Still undecided on a permanent pedal for that space, but so far the DD doesn't suck, and might end up being the winner.

this is plugged into my iMac which plays Logic Pro drum loops, it’s been helping with my practicing a lot. Sounds fantastic so far
