With a need to travel light, I questioned almost every pedal. Not many remained...
For the type of music I play with my small board, the SuperBooster with the VT in front of it is the heart. The MS-60B is on it for fun, but barely gets any use. During all those rehearsals I really found, that for this nice and fat bass tone I'm looking for, it sounds just best when the good bass goes with little deviation into a nice preamp.
I so often brought things with with the biggest intention to really implement them into the sound, but all I did then was turning them off again thinking "damn this bass sounds good". That's why the working board looks so boring.
Don't you guys with the big boards sometimes have this? Or is your sound matching your pedalboard? I somehow would like to know what you play with all those nice little boxes. Some explanation could be given of what you're doing. Or a link would be great.
When I first saw Jean Baudins board I thought him to be gone completely nuts

But when you hear the music he plays, it completely makes sense
I'm obviously looking for inputs to justify more pedals on the working board
