PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

Hey gregmon79, what do you use your Orbital for - meaning, how do you have you presets set? It's one of the few pedals these days that is sort of on my radar.

I use one preset for chorus and one for flanger. The flanger preset changes a lot though to a resonator or a more extreme chorus. The chorus on it is phenomenal IMO. I really only use it for a chorus sad to say. I should be using it for more. I would if I had the HUB. It's pretty awesome.

That's cool. I was thinking of using it to replace a few pedals, because my board is already too overcrowded, and it's sounded great in every video that I've watched. I meant to reply to a post that you had in a tremolo thread, but I replied to the OP by accident. Anyway, I'm not sure if you've seen this, or have any use for tremolo, but this video is pretty awesome.

I thought that I could use one preset for tremolo (Expression pedal assigned to speed, perhaps), and the other for chorus (mostly), especially because I don't use chorus a lot. But then I sort of became re-enamored with my Polytope this past weekend and I don't know if the Orbital could replace it. I'm still considering it in addition, though (I know that I don't have to explain that to anyone here in this forum!).

Haha that's funny. I sold my poly to get the orbital. I did so for the same exact reasons youre stating, I wanted more room. I figured I could get that with the orbital. And I did. I miss the poly. But I still don't regret my decision. The orbital rocks.

I just got my new Guv and modded it for more bass. Ts9 has been modded as well. Ditto, stache, and BDPG are the etched ones

Little update. I was asked by a production manager to make my setup as easy as possible (have a tech to set my stuff up for the winter- huzzah!), so I moved my Tone Hammer di on-board. I had to lose the Boss OC-3 but I hadn't really been using it anyway. The Octamizer gets what i need done.

Very nice and clean. I want to do something like that with the Gecko and Expression pedal. Waiting for the SA midi controller since it should have an input for the expression pedal. That way, all the secondary board would need is power and midi since the hub could remain on the main board.

Some more minor changes. Since I got a RW P-Bass two weeks ago, the Beta won the ongoing fight between it and the Barbershop for now (The new P is a lot brighter than my previous main P-Bass...and completely awesome. But that also means, that I can finally make some of use of the Beta's tone-knob instad of always having it turned full-on to have at least some treble in there.). So here you go:

Also a minor update: moved my Ditto off the board; slid the Turbo Tuner to the other side, so it now sits on the HPF Pre-3; added the VT Bass DI to the end of the chain, so I can plug in front of amp, FoH or bypass my pre through my amp's effects return. Now my old pre-Fender SWR can do modern, become a very gutsy flip-top or do a nice job pumping out some SVT tone.

Thanks. FYI: quick check of the SS/BS site shows they still have some of the limited run of 100 top-jack Minis in stock. Ordering on the Mini page has a drop-down menu with top-jack model as the second selection.

Nice; thanks for the tip, man, but I already have one - with side mounted jacks . It's not the like the world is gonna stop turning, but my board is very tight these days!

Back from a two year playing hiatus and the board is slowly coming together. Mostly leftovers from my last rig. Tuner needs to go for a Polytune, Screaming Blues replaced my Boss bass EQ for low cut with some gain for a few cover tunes. American Sound is in the mail, OFD by the end of the month!

Treble Pickup > VT Bass Deluxe
Neck Pickup > EBS Multicomp > Subway Octave (Subblaster clone) > UB-1 > Swollen Pickle > Flux-Drive > x-blender (for the M5)
Both into LS-2 > Micro Polytune

Maybe a pretty self explanatory chain but maybe someone wanted to know

I'm looking to replace the Subway and UB-1 with a Micro POG or POG 2 and maybe get my hands on some Source Audio gear.
