Here's one for the mass-brand people! :)

I have to say though, this version of my board gave me fits and I'm not totally happy with how it's put together, although I am 100% happy with all the pedals.

The first switchout was easy enough ... the MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe in place of a MXR Black Label Chorus.

But as it happens, you change one thing and bammm! ... you start rethinking everything. Goodbye MXR Envelope Filter, hello EXH Stereo Polyphase, goodbye Diamond Boost / EQ and Radial Big Shot EFX Loop, hello Radial Loopbone.

Between the different pedal sizes, some with side jacks, some with top jacks, the dumb location of the MXR adaptor jacks, all sorts of different makes of cables / connectors, the fact that the Polyphase and Loopbone require wall warts, the fact the courtesy outlet on the Voodoo Labs PPII is set back too far and in too small an opening to be of much use when attached to a Pedaltrain .... ugh!

At one point I thought I was all done, then realized all my modulation pedals were placed on the right side in Loop 1 and the fuzz and POG were on the left side in Loop 2 ... start over.

I performed quite the hatchet job to my pedal train to insert an extender to the Voodoo Labs courtesy outlet (http://ace.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pACE-997656reg.jpg). The courtesy outlet says 200 Watts max, which is a bit confusing when the pedal adaptors only list Volts, but a Google search seems to indicate 1 Watt equals 1 Volt??? The Polyphase and Loopbone seem happy with power their getting so far at least. Both adaptors say Input is 120V, Output is 24V for the Polyphase and 15V for the Loopbone.

The J48 is mainly there to fill the gap, but I may just keep it there. I can still easily get a right angle cable into the output of the Loopbone, and get an XLR cable into the DI. Same with the spacing between the Polyphase and the Bass Chorus Deluxe ... can get a right angle cable in there for an expression pedal.

The kicker is I have a smaller board with just the tuner, compressor and Loin, and it's all I need for gigs these days. I need to find a band to match my larger pedal board now!

Nice one Jean, as always.

I count a pile more expression capable pedals than you have expressionator channels for, even with one underneath as you mentioned. Could you break down that aspect, if not the whole signal chain?

Are you using nothing but the Wet for reverb now that the Flint is gone? The Möbius can do all the term but seeing your board with one reverb is unusual.

Right now I'm controlling Pitchfactor, Mobii, Timeline, Xerograph DlX, Revolver and the range on the 2nd Voice with the Expressionators... that will change soon.

Main issue right now is I don't have enough isolated power taps for everything. Looking at getting a Ciokolate or a Mondo in the near future. Also want to get some nice small patch cables - on the fence with the lava soldered stuff.

As for reverb, I wasn't using the Flint reverb that much... someone's borrowing my ChromaChorus, so that will probably replace the Unpleasant surprise when it comes back with the shim verb. I also have a nice patch on the Timeline that is pretty reverb-y (and I can use the Pitchfactor as a 2nd delay).

signal path: blarg, 2nd voice, oxide, polytope, frantabit, xerograph, revolver, volume, unpleasant surprise, pitchfactor, mobius #1, timeline, mobius #2, wet. turbotuner is on the tuner out of the vpjr (it's modded so no signal loss).

I really like it. It takes a few minutes to get the hang of it. Gate is great... takes all the nasty stuff out and makes it nice and smooth. All the volumes have an even taper (unlike the previous version where it was 1, 2, 10!!!!!!!!!). Can still get mean, but it's kinder, more gentle 2nd Voice.

Let me add: that this board is very playable. Having the timeline looper controls next to the revolver is great for a kind of double-looper. everything is easy to reach and step on. I'm having some custom code made for the DMC-4 so I can control both Mobii and the Timeline with just the one box.

Nice board, even for its non-boutiquiness. 1 watt = 1 volt x 1 amp, so look at how many milliamps your 24V and 15 V wall-warts pull, multiply by the voltage, and that gives you watts. A milliamp is 1/1000th of an ampere (amp). For example, if your 24 V wall wart pulls 300 mA, then the power draw is (roughly for calculations, please electrical engineers don't cloud watts vs volt-amps, I know there is a difference, but for this...):

24V x .3A = 7.2 watts

P.S. Jean, ridiculous board, as usual, and I'm just digging the heck out of Mechanisms. MSUsousa- what up! Hope all is going swimmingly at home and with the band.

This is really good to hear. How's the suboctave soloed? With the filter can it get really smooth? Can it do the synthy OC-2 thing as anticipated?

I haven't owned an OC-2 in awhile, but with the resonance and filter knobs you can get a synth-like tone from it. Just the suboctave with the oxide and Xerograph behind it sounds killer.
