Just got our Presonus RM32AI and I got a new Ipad mini, and downloaded Qmix AI. I cant get them to link up. Everything is set up correctly. The other bandmates Iphones and Ipads work fine with it,but its not working with the mini. Is there a fix or do I need a standard Ipad?

It should work fine.. out drummer uses one with our X32...
I think you may have to go into settings and turn on wifi (if not already) and turn on "ask to join networks", or it won't search for "new" networks.

There's a network utility app called "Fing" that you can d/l and scan for networks - jsut to ensure its there.

Not sure of the current specs but... Is your version of ios supported? Presonus lags. behind Apple - as do almost all other hardware manufacturers. If your mini is on 8.2 that might not yet be supported... Again, I haven't been following and might be all wet...

I stay safely back a few versions when it comes to ios (or os/x or windows) upgrades ..

I've been working with that same desk for a while now. The problem is not the mini vs the standard Ipad. Size (in this case) does not matter. Since you are seeing the router, the only thing I can think of, is that you are using the wrong app. QMix-AI is for Iphones and Ipods. Get rid of that app and download StudioLiveRemote-AI. That is what you need. Next, make sure the permission is set correctly. If you don't know how to do it, look at 3.5 step 5 in the manual. You can set it to control just your aux mix if you like, but giving it full permission, in case of another device failure, is always a good option. Let me know how you make out with it.

The RM has basically the same drive engine in it as the 32AI. Is it the wheel function you miss? I know the scroll can be a pain with the SL Remote App. I usually leave the things that are most often an issue centered on the display screen. I am currently switching over to the Allen & Heath Qu32. The monitor app on that one is slammin'. The downside is, now I have to learn a completely new format.

All I really need on the screen is the aux sends.Thats why I need the QmixAI to work. I did an update a few days ago so we will see if it works tomorrow. UC Surface works fine but I can't see it very well because of everything that has to be crammed into that size screen. I accidently adjusted the main mix last weekend because I had the wrong thing highlighted on the screen.

Very easy to do. Either set the permission to your aux only, or all auxes. That will keep you out of the main mix screen. Honestly, I don't think QMix will work with an Ipad regardless of the update. Also, you have much more control with Studio Live Remote. It takes a good amount of hours to gets things under your belt, so you don't even have to think about it to make changes. Once you do, it's a great platform to work from.
